The Wolfpack was able to field 3 teams in the recent Dallas Regional flag football tournament.

6U “The Wolf Pups”, a newly formed team came out ready to play. Tied game one and won game 2. The next day, they won their 1st playoff game 28 – 0. Game 2, they faced the Centex Spartans out of Austin. With a fight to the end, the pups ended up losing 6-7 in the semi-championship game. The Centex Spartans went on to beat Blitz in the championship game 12-7.

8U which is really is a bunch of 1st graders that missed the under 6 cut by a couple of months + 1 3rd grader. Also did well for a newly formed team. They won playoff game 1 and ended up losing in game 2 to the Lubbock Steelers who ended up losing to Blitz 28-0 in the championship game.

10U another team of rookie 3rd graders who just missed the under 8 cut didn’t do so hot. The kids tried their best. But clearly these 9 year-olds weren’t ready for seasoned 10/11 year-olds. None the less, 10U will be back in the very near future.

Overall it was a great 1st tournament and the coaches couldn’t be any more proud of the effort they gave last weekend.
